- Put the nerve between wet gauzes with PBS on a Petri dish, and put it on ice.
- Clean the nerve by removing the fat, connective tissue…
- Fix the nerve with PFA 2% for 1 hour (in agitation and ice)
- Wash 3 x 15 min with PBS1x (in agitation and ice)
- Do teasing for up to 1 hour:
- Stretch out each of the fascicles to take them –> if the fascicle goes out with the membrane, it must be removed
- Cut each fascicle in half and place it on a treated slide.
- Stretch in different directions the nerve fibers (with two insulin syringes)
- Let the slides dry and freeze at -20ºC
